I recently stayed at The One8 Hotel for two weeks. The staff were very friendly and helpful, organizing airport transfers and pre-booked trips. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a complimentary continental breakfast. The hotel is located in a vibrant area, a short taxi drive away from the VA waterfront. The swimming pool area was a great place to relax after a hot day.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The staff were most courteous, proficient and accommodated all our request in the minimum of time. The hotel (although small) was scrupulously clean and the décor was to a very high standard. a relaxed and most comfortable experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the “Full Monty” breakfast each morning.
First impression (and it’s not particular to this hotel) security within this area seemed a little ott, I.E. lots of the hotels had security guards, electric gates, electric fences or razor wire on the top of the walls etc. The street lighting was more than adequate, and I just thought all this security was not really necessary, at no time did I feel threatened. Our hotel did not have the aforementioned security arrangements, with the exception of entrance to the facility was by key or by request via interphone.

My well-maintained and new-fashioned room came with bathroom with walking-in shower, minibar, for example. The location was convenient and handy, around 10-15 minutes walk from Green Point Park.

Beautiful location, great pool area with comfortable lounge chairs. Excellent, attentive staff who went above and beyond for us. Delicious breakfast prepared early for our early departure. Safe and clean environment. Highly recommended for couples.

My wife and I have just returned from holidays where we spent 11 days in Capetown. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Small and friendly, staff and owners excellent. They arranged everything for us, taxis, tickets to table mountain( to avoid the queue,) tour to township, how to use the public transport, printed our boarding passes etc etc. Many thanks to Moses and the team.

Staff always especially helpful and caring.
Secure and top location so close to the beach, Waterfront and City Centre, and the V & A Waterfront, restaurants and the City Sightseeing Buses, could not be better.

Great value for the money, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the vibrant area with plenty of restaurants, shops, and bars. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and provided excellent recommendations for historical trips and restaurants in the city.
The food for breakfast could have been better, as the towels left hanging to dry were folded up wet and together, making it difficult to discern whose towel was whose.

The staff at the OneEight were great, very helpful, very friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to provide service. The rooms were clean, adequately furnished and of reasonable size. The rooms with balconies had nice views. This is about an 8 room boutique hotel, not a chain and not a resort. Within that category it was really very nice and would stay there again and recommend to friends.

We had a lovely stay at this boutique hotel. The location was great, just a short Uber or metered taxi ride to various areas of the city. We found it to be about half an hour walk from the waterfront, which was convenient. The staff were extremely helpful and nice, making our stay even more enjoyable. They quickly moved us to another room for the duration of our stay when they realized there was an issue with our initial room. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with amenities like air conditioning and a mini-bar. We also appreciated the beautiful terrace and outdoor swimming pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. the hotel provided great comfort and quality services.
The hotel was a bit further away from the beach front and V&A than we had expected. Additionally, there weren't many restaurants within walking distance for us as pensioners.

Great location, near the city center but not in the middle of town where it gets too noisy. Safe and secure neighborhood - which is vital in downtown Capetown.
Breakfast menu is a bit thin and the portions could be a bit larger, but they're well cooked and delicious. Free Internet vouchers for up to 10MB/day do not last very long. Would love to see a bit more capacity - modern day smartphones and laptops are bandwidth hogs.

Our room at One 8 was spacious and clean, with plenty of closet space for all our belongings. The location was great, with convenient access to local restaurants and just a short walk to the waterfront and CBD areas. The staff were incredibly helpful, arranging a taxi for our airport transfers and providing recommendations for nearby dining options. The breakfast selection was good and the hot choices, especially the sausage, were delicious. We also appreciated the secure parking and the option to store our luggage after check-out. Despite a few minor issues such as a noisy room and late breakfast set-up, overall I would recommend this hotel.

Had a very very good stay for 3 more nights, everything was amazing. The hotel room was tastefully decorated with Aircon, a balcony, as example. The location was perfect and comfortable, walking distance to restaurants and bars. Plus, it was approx 10 mins walk from Rocklands Beach. Truly enjoyed our trip here and would come here again;)))
